- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse.
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring patient safety.
- Help patients with meals and feeding as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized patient environment.
- Assist with medical procedures, such as gastric lavage or sterile processing, under the guidance of healthcare professionals.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients.
Skills:
- Experience in senior care or caregiving is preferred.
- Knowledge of sterile processing techniques is a plus.
- Familiarity with medical office procedures is beneficial.
- Ability to provide care for patients with behavioral health needs or memory care requirements.
- Basic understanding of medical terminology and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
